Position Summary: 

We are seeking a Senior Assistant Planner to support our wholesale business. In this role, you will play a key part in driving sales and optimizing inventory by assisting with pre-season planning, in-season forecasting, and insightful analysis. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills and a passion for retail.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the strategic management of the wholesale business by contributing to pre-season planning, in-season forecasting, and inventory and Open-to-Buy (OTB) management.
  • Support efforts to maximize sales and optimize inventory by conducting thorough analysis and developing actionable insights.
  • Produce, distribute, and analyze weekly, monthly, and seasonal reporting to track performance and identify trends.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and external partners to identify new opportunities, mitigate liabilities, and drive profitability.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of key reporting and analysis tools, including Weekly Account Performance, Shipping Projections, Delivery Selling, and Market Prep Analysis.
  • Compile and synthesize data from multiple sources to create both standard and ad-hoc reports and analyses.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in planning, analytics, or wholesale role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • A solid understanding of retail math.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy.
  • A self-motivated problem-solver who thrives on finding creative solutions.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage a demanding workload and meet tight deadlines.

 

$55,000 - $70,000 base salary (This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NYC - based position. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other AO employees.)
