RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Oversee Logistics department and lead the team

·       Manage all import, export, domestic and international shipments

·       Communicate with factories, freight forwarders and truckers on delivery status and ensure on time delivery to the distribution center

·       Working in tandem with the Director of Compliance and Logistics

·       Work with production and sales for delivery schedules

·       Resolve all Customs issues and respond to Customs requests.

·       Conduct line review and classify garments with appropriate HTS

·       Audit shipping documents and enter shipments  

·       Audit and approve freight and duty invoices

·       Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to senior management

·       Negotiate freight rates

·       Track shipments from overseas and domestic factories to the distribution center

·       Ensure that every shipment has correct and proper documents

·       Develop highly productive working partnerships with third party freight arms

·       Quickly learn and develop highly effective working abilities using Blue Cherry

·       Manage multiple and often conflicting priorities with a critical ability to proactively ask questions to stay on track of problems to maintain productivity.

·       Manage the details of the business with 100% accuracy including high volumes of both paper and system based responsibilities

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Proven ability to quickly learn and confidently apply new software application and process knowledge, required

·       Written and verbal communication skills, required

·       Open, flexible, honest and collaborative teaming skills

·       Self-motivation with a strong sense of personal accountability

·       Detail, process and metrics driven to achieve goals

·       Bachelors degree, or transferable experience, preferred

·       Blue Cherry knowledge, a plus

·       Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge, required

 

 

$90,000 - $105,000 base salary (This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NY-based position. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other A+O employees.)
