KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Create Initial Development Tech Packs in partnership with the Design Team

· Create Flat, Back and Construction Sketches

· Prepare tech pack notes for construction and Garment Measurements

· Assist in the preparation of fittings – acquire and pass prod dup samples to prod tech designer

· Assist in the fitting; Take notes of the required corrections on fit and construction discussed

· Work with patternmaking team post-fitting to ensure fit corrections are executed properly 

· Work with product development team to launch development samples with factories. 

· Supports daily work flow to adhere to development schedules

· Work on special projects as assigned

· Works closely with Product Development Manager to advance technical knowledge of the brand construction and fit standards

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Driven by the Technical Design Role in Fashion and Garment Production

· Basic knowledge of garment fitting and patterns

· Ability to properly measure garments according to manual standards

· Attention to detail, initiative, organization and strong verbal and written communication skills

· Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency - Should also be a team player

· Must have the ability to work in a cross functional team environment

· Excellent time management and organizational skills

· 4 Year College Degree: Preferred Training in Technical Design and/or Patternmaking

· Minimum 3-5 year Work Experience within the Technical Design and/or Patternmaking Departments

· Basic understanding of garment engineering and fit

· Proficiency in MS office (Excel/Word/Outlook), Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)

$35.00 P/H- $45.00 P/H  hourly salary (This rage represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NY-based position. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other A+O employees.)
